Muzik magazine called him the South American maestro when "Sonar" ,signed to Kismet Records, hit the streets in April 2002. It reached number 13 on the UK based magazine Muzik Magazine as well as high placement on Djs charts from around the globe.
With more than 15 years experience as a dj and 8 years as a producer, Marcelo Castelli is now calling the attention of the best Djs around the world with his massive productions on two of the most respected labels in the UK...Low Pressings and Kismet Records. Marcelo has also remixed numerous track for labels such as Hooj Choons, Cream, Illustrious, X Plosion, and Vibra.
Recently, he has signed two tracks titled "On Drums" and "Tribal X Press" to another up and coming label, Stereo Productions. Several of his tracks have been included in Cd´s compilations; Peace Division (Nite Life), Saeed and Palash (Tide Edit 7), Further (Hooj), and Band and Blanc (White Party).
Marcelo's quality tracks are a mixture of some of the most exotic South American tribal rhythms including original Candombe sounds from Uruguay and Tango music, all created with the latest technology.
The versatility of his productions have allowed him to produce tracks such as Caveman, Sonar, and Raices, all tracks that make you go mental without loosing the dancefloor feeling. Tracks like Tribalismo, Jungleman and Tambores del Sur are pure tribal house as it's best and have proven to rock many dancefloor's around the world. It's no wonder why some of the top progressive and tribal jocks are choosing to use Marcelo's tracks on a routine basis.
